Producing Journalist

Emmanuel Kobba was born and raised in Cline Town, Freetown, the capital of Sierra Leone, Emmanuel Kobba an ardent listener of the world’s best foreign radios especially the BBC, was destined to be a broadcaster because of his love for sports and news.

He said he got the passion for radio broadcasting from former BBC presenter Robin White because of the way he used to ask critical questions in his interviews.

Emmanuel Kobba holds a Certificate in Journalism and Media from the Institute of Business Studies and Administration (IBSA) and a Diploma in Mass Communication from CIBMAT College.

He came into mainstream journalism in 2008 working for both the Leone Sports newspaper and Freetown Radio 90.5FM.

Emmanuel Kobba joined Radio Mercury 92.1FM in 2011 and is co-producing and co-presenting international sports Mondays-Fridays starting at 12:00 pm-4:00 pm.
